Be aware that you are communicating via email with staff in Nairobi, Kenya as you plan your trip, so replies might take a day or 2 or a second email request. We wound up also calling and speaking directly about a travel question and got a clear answer.

Choosing a private tour like this (just we 4 adult family members) allowed us flexibility and optimal opportunities to see everything up close and personal and not deal with adjusting to added travelers in our vehicle or at photo stops. These safaris, dining and lodging experiences were spectacular, and we appreciated the option for the level of lodge preferred.
By the way, we saw other, much more expensive travel companies at the exact locations we were visiting, and believe that the price point for our experiences was such a better value. I interviewed 4 companies before choosing East Africa Adventure Tours and Safaris and know for us it was a brilliant, financially sound choice.

Our guides, Sammy in Kenya and Gift in Tanzania, were professional, personable, and knowledgable experts in all things relative to geography, society, animal life, plant species and beyond. Both men were fantastic at navigating rough terrain in the 4×4 Toyota Land Cruisers, keeping us safe and comfortable at all times. They both possessed experience and true passion and respect for their fabulous countries and natural resources, and shared that passion with us. It was contagious, and we left feeling forever changed in the best of ways to the magic and remarkable beauty of this planet and to the fantastic people of the countries of Kenya and Tanzania.

Our driver, Julius, went above and beyond to help us spot wildlife—we were thrilled to see the Big Five, the Ugly Five, the wildebeest migration, and so much more.

Although a few of our lodge bookings were changed at the last minute, which caused a bit of inconvenience, it didn’t take away from our overall experience. The trip was truly unforgettable, and we were able to see everything we had hoped for, at a very reasonable price.

A huge part of what made this trip so special was our guide in Kenya, Leonard. He is, without a doubt, one of the best guides we’ve ever encountered. Leonard is experienced, knowledgeable, and truly passionate about wildlife. He also brought a warm, caring presence to us, always ensuring everyone felt safe, informed, and excited for each day’s adventure.
The accommodations and meals throughout the trip were better than expected. After long days on safari, it was such a pleasure to come back to delicious meals and relaxing lodges.
